We're getting ready for our u-pick opening day for organically grown asparagus and rhubarb on May 5, 2017. We've got the deer fence up, the driveway is getting fixed, the market shed (camper!) is in place and we should have some beautiful new signs soon.
We thought the asparagus might come early, but it's taking its sweet time. The first asparagus harvest last week was 2 whole pounds. The second harvest filled 2/3 of a 5 gallon bucket and was driven directly over to the wonderful folks at Spencer restaurant.
By next week we should have buckets and buckets - hopefully literal tons.
